Perfect gift for Valentine’s day

The modern origins of Valentine’s Day come from England. The first real association of Valentine’s Day with romantic love, or “love birds,” comes from Geoffrey Chaucer’s poem Parlement of Foules. Dating from 1382, it states: “For this was on St. Valentine’s Day, when every bird cometh there to choose his mate.” William Shakespeare’s Hamlet (1600–1601) refers to both Saint Valentine’s Day and the phrase “to be your Valentine,” showing that Valentine’s Day was established in British culture by that time.

Celebrated in ancient Rome between 13 – 15 February, the festival is said to have involved lots of naked folk running through the streets spanking the backsides of young women with leather whips, supposedly to improve their fertility.

That’s inspiring for a crazy photo shoot, isn’t it? I don’t think I’ll do that any time soon, but let me know if you heard anything like this or if you’d like me to assist on capturing the moment.

I’m preparing for Valentine’s Day with a sequence of mini sessions in the week before Valentine’s day. It will be 30 minutes long each, and as many pictures and style we can fit in. low key drama, high key glow , backdrop and other props will be ready for you to create the most wonderful memories of this spring.

You can find the Facebook event planned for the year 2022 on my page or in the embedded post above. If required please let me know if you’d like to have a mini session on the Valentine’s Day (14th of February 2022)
